Nevada Highway Patrol says a trooper arrested a wanted felon after a tip from a concerned parent earlier this week.

NHP says a trooper was at Anderson Regional Park near Kietzke Lane with his K9 on Monday when a mother told him two men were sleeping in nearby bushes.

When the trooper spoke with the two men, he found that one of them, 56-year-old Steven Hurley of Reno, was an unregistered sex offender.

He also had a felony warrant out of North Dakota.

Hurley was arrested and now faces extradition back to North Dakota.
