UPDATE: The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) has released new details on a fatal crash that happened on Sunday, June 16.

They said around 7:30 p.m., crews responded to the crash on I-80 at mile marker 91 near Lovelock.

They said a blue 2004 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a box trailer was traveling eastbound on I-80 when the driver allowed the truck to travel into the left dirt shoulder, striking a paddle marker.

They said the Ford spun and overturned and the driver was ejected.

NHP says the truck came to rest on its roof in the center median.

They said 35-year-old Brandon Lindsey of Dayton was pronounced dead at the scene.

NHP says the left lane of eastbound I-80 was closed for the investigation. Traffic was rerouted into the right lane until all eastbound lanes were reopened at 2 a.m.


Original Story: The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) says the name of a man who died in a rollover crash on Sunday has been released.

They said 35-year-old Brandon Lindsey of Dayton was pronounced dead at the scene. NHP said he had a dog with him and the dog died in the crash as well.

They said it happened on I-80 near mile marker 91 near Lovelock around 7:30 p.m.

NHP says the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
