El Dorado County Sheriff's Deputies say they have arrested  at least three suspects after a lengthy investigation into a string of burglaries across four California counties.

Deputies say two or three people would target area gas stations between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m. with the intention of stealing large volumes of cigarette cartons.

On May 26th, deputies say two men stole over $6,000 worth of cigarettes from a gas station in Camino. With surveillance video, officers were able to identify the car involved.

The following morning, deputies got an attempted burglary call at another gas station. The owner gave officers a suspect car description.

Deputies stopped that car along Highway 50 and eventually arrested Miguel Chamizo, Kevin Gilkey, and a 16-year-old on numerous charges.

Authorities say in all, the alleged crimes totaled four burglaries, one robbery and one attempted burglary.
