South Lake Tahoe Police say they arrested a felon after he got away from officers on Tuesday night.

Police say officers got reports of a reckless driver speeding on Lake Tahoe Blvd. As officers tried to locate the suspect, they learned that the suspect's car crashed into another car in a nearby driveway.

When officers responded to that area, they could not find the man. The victims told police the man threatened them with a knife and gun and then ran into the woods.

No one was hurt but officers set up a perimeter and sent out a K9, but again the man was not found.

Officers then got a warrant for the suspect's arrest and because the man was armed, the SLTPD SWAT Team went to his home where they found 44-year-old Michael Henson.

Henson was booked into the El Dorado County jail on assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats and felon in possession of a firearm.
