UPDATE: The Reno Police Department (RPD) says they are looking for a person who picked up a piece of property that could be evidence in a homicide case.

They said on May 5, in the area of West 3rd Street and Vine Street a homicide happened in the early morning hours.

They said a person found a silver iPhone Xs max on the sidewalk that may be in a wallet style case.

RPD says the witness is described as a female adult with dark hair. She is around 5'4" to 5'6" and weighs around 160 to 170 pounds. She was wearing a long sleeve pink hooded sweater, long blue jeans and sandals. 

They said she was last seen on video going southbound on Vine Street towards West 2nd Street. RPD says she is only a witness in the case and is not involved in the homicide investigation.

They said Secret Witness is offering a $250 reward for the recovery of this evidence.


UDPATE: The victim in the case has been identified as 47-year-old Andrea Faulkner. 

Faulkner had a gunshot injury that an autopsy later confirmed to be the cause of death. 

During the subsequent investigation, detectives identified 25-year-old Jesse Bailey as a person of interest and recovered physical evidence linking Bailey to the crime. 

Bailey was arrested for Murder and is currently in custody at the Washoe County Jail.   


UPDATE: The Reno Police Department says the death is now being investigated as a homicide.


Reno Police say they're investigating a suspicious death near 3rd Street and Vine. 

Police say a woman's body was found around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 5.

Police say the unidentified woman appeared to be homeless and was camped at the location where she was found.
