The Nevada Highway Patrol is warning people about a phone scam.

The scammer tells victims he is with state police and that there is an outstanding warrant for their arrest.

He then tells the victim they need to go to Walgreens to get funds to pay the warrant.

Troopers say they will never call you to clear up a warrant. All warrants are handled by the court systems in each county.

They ask that if you get one of these unblocked calls to contact police.
