Nevada football senior quarterback Ty Gangi has been named to the Manning Award watch list for 2018. The list includes 30 of the top quarterbacks in the nation heading into the 2018 season.

The award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl to commemorate the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli manning.

The Manning Award takes multiple statistics into account, including passing yards, rushing yards, and touchdowns scored. Six past award winners have won national championships, and four have been the first overall selection in the NFL draft. The Manning Award is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates bowl performances in its balloting.

Gangi, already selected to the Wuerffel Trophy and Maxwell Award watch lists, will look to lead the air raid for the Pack in head coach Jay Norvell’s second season. Gangi was named an All-Mountain West honorable mention after tossing 25 touchdowns in 2017.

Season and individual game tickets for the 2018 season are available today. Call (775) 348-PACK or visit NevadaWolfPack.com for more information.
