Reno 1868 FC will be taking its practice sessions across the Northern Nevada area as part of the club’s Community Practice Series, the club announced Wednesday.

The Community Practice Series will hit the Carson City, Fernley and Truckee areas over the next month and is aimed at giving a glimpse at how pro soccer players prepare and train for upcoming matches.

“We’re excited to bring our practice sessions to the outlying parts of Northern Nevada,” Andy Smith, general manager of Reno 1868 FC, said Wednesday. “It’s an opportunity to further connect with the community that’s supported us during the past two seasons.”

The first community practice is slated for Aug. 21 at the Pete Livermore Sports Complex in Carson City starting at 5:30 p.m.

The practice is 100 percent free with no ticket required and is open to all ages.
