Flat ridge of high pressure will build over the area today behind the compact low that helped trigger the isolated thunderstorm last evening over Reno and Carson City. Most of that activity is now in Utah. Afternoon clouds will develop with daytime heating. Highs back into the mid to upper 80's.

Cold front and trough of low pressure influences the weather today afternoon into Friday with clouds and a windy afternoon. There is a small chance of some mountains showers. It will be cooler by Friday with highs in the low 70's.
