One Person Dead in Auto Accident on Highway 50

One person is dead in a semi-truck accident on Highway 50 near Stagecoach.

Nevada Highway Patrol reports it happened about two miles west of Stagecoach in Lyon County just after 11am Thursday.

Troopers say an elderly woman driving a sedan was going east when she crossed into the oncoming lane side-swiping a pickup. It then hit an oil tanker.

The accident blocked both lanes of the highway.

The woman died at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The two other drivers received minor injuries.
