Dr. Kristina Hansen graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Nutrition. While at UC Berkeley she completed a 2 year clinical dietetics internship and became a registered dietitian in 1990. She then went on to medical school at Albany Medical College in New York and completed her family medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina.
Kristina has a special interest in Nutrition and Women's Health issues. In addition to practicing family medicine, she has lectured to physicians across the country on depression, anxiety, menopause, osteoporosis, tobacco addiction, obesity, and other nutrition related topics. Kristina has a genuine interest in childhood obesity which led her to receive a special certificate of training in child and adolescent weight management.
