Eureka Woman Dies in Car Accident

A Eureka woman was killed in a single-car accident on U.S. 50 in north central Nevada.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Aubray Nicole Mackelden was traveling west when her 2004 Volkswagen Jetta drifted off the two-lane road around 3:15am Thursday.

Officers say Mackelden overcorrected trying to get back onto the pavement and the car overturned.

The patrol says Mackelden was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. She died while being taken to a medical clinic in Eureka.
