The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the inmate who died at the Washoe County Jail on the morning of April 12, 2019. 

34-year-old Chad Recob of Sparks, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was blunt force injuries of the head. 

The ME's Office says his death was classified as a suicide.

REMSA and the Reno Fire Department originally responded to the incident. Recob declared dead by medical staff at 11:46 a.m.

The ME's Office says they are trying to notify the family for the second inmate who died in an unrelated incident on the same day.
