I-80 is currently closed from Colfax to Nevada due to multiple spin-outs. Mountain travel is a bad idea right now.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) briefly closed U.S. Hwy 395 S. at state route 203 (Mammoth Lakes) due to two separate non-injury incidents between Mammoth Lakes and Crowley Lake.

High winds on 395 South are creating very low to no visibility conditions.

I-80 is currently moving at a very slow rate after a standstill, over Donner Summit, due to a  multiple-vehicle crash blocking lanes, according to Caltrans.

Despite the crash I-80 and Highway 50 are open with R-2 Chain Controls. Trucks are being held on I-80 due to poor traction over Donner Summit.

There are also chain controls on all Sierra Highways. Expect Delays.

Mt. Rose Highway has been closed and reopened several times over the past few days with white out conditions off and on.

Mt. Rose Highway is currently open.
