A faculty member at the University of Nevada, Reno, told The New York Times on Sunday that Oscar Arias Sanchez, former president of Costa Rica and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, tried to grope and kiss her in 1998 when he visited the university as a speaker.

52-year-old Carina A. Black says she took Arias around at meetings and events and she found herself alone in an elevator with him.

She said he pushed her against the elevator wall, put his hand across her chest and tried to kiss her.
