West 4th Street and McCarran Boulevard in Reno will close for a few hours this Sunday as crews install a permanent traffic signal after a car crash occurred at the intersection last weekend.

The closure is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. and will stay closed for up to three hours.

Crews will close one northbound McCarran travel lane, and completely close eastbound 4th Street at the intersection so they can move in a crane.

The City of Reno says it was determined by NDOT and the City that the Sunday morning time frame would create the least impact to the traveling public. It was also determined that night work was not feasible for the scope of work.

City of Reno Public Works and NDOT crews placed a temporary signal at the intersection after the crash.
