Nevada Men’s Tennis Goes 6-3 in Final Day of Bulldog Classic
FRESNO, Calif. – The Nevada men’s tennis team finished the final day of the Fresno State Bulldog Classic today, going 4-1 in singles and 2-2 in doubles on the day. Benjamin Campi was victorious in the singles flight C final, Dylan Levitt won the flight C consolation final and Jeremy Merville and Delmas N’tcha earned a win in the doubles flight B final.
Campi won the singles flight C final 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 over Sonoma State’s Igor Pissarenko. In the consolation final of the singles flight C bracket, Levitt took home a 6-3, 6-1 victory over San Francisco’s David Woodland.
In the singles flight A bracket, Daniel Dudockin fell to San Francisco’s Nitzan Ricklis 6-3, 6-1 to take home a fourth place finish. In the singles flight A consolation bracket, Merville defeated San Francisco’s Paul Giraud 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 to earn a seventh place finish.
In the singles flight B bracket, Matvey Radionov topped Sonoma State’s Max Nudell 6-2, 7-6(9) to finish third.
On the doubles side of things, Merville and N’tcha took home a flight B final victory after the pair from Sacramento State retired. Dudockin and Radionov fell 8-5 to a duo from San Diego State in the flight A consolation final, and in the flight C final, Campi and Levitt fell 8-4 to Fresno State’s Jeremy Moser and Bailey Gong.
The Wolf Pack will be back in action soon, with Evrard and Kostya Nesterenko traveling to Surprise, Ariz. for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships on Wednesday. The rest of the team will be in action on Friday for the Loyola Marymount Invitational in Los Angeles.
