Nevada's ranked last when it comes to mental health and resources, but one local clinic wants to change that. Zephyr Wellness just opened up a new location in hopes to reach more people.

Zephyr Wellness has been in our community for about three years now and has been able to give back more than $163,000 to our community by hosting graduate and undergrad students...offering classes and sliding fee services and pro bono counseling.

“It allows us to treat and serve people with insurance we don't take or can't afford it so we truly don't turn have to turn away anybody,” says co-owner Jake Wiskerchen.

Zephyr Wellness is hosting a grand opening ceremony so the public has a chance to take a look inside their new facility...meet the staff and ask any questions you may have about mental health and their services.

Zephyr Wellness says by doing this it helps relieve any tension or nervousness you may have when it comes to seeking help.

“It is a way to know all the staff beforehand and know that we are all normal people,” says office coordinator Lauren Penksa.

The grand opening starts at 4 p.m. at their new Sparks location at 925 Roberta Lane.

They are also located at 418 Cheney Street in Reno.
