University of Nevada senior point guard Cody Martin has been named to the 2019 Bob Cousy Award watch list. The award recognizes the top point guard in Division I men’s college basketball. He is one of 20 players on the watch list and the only player from the Mountain West. 

Martin moved to point guard the final 10 games of last season for an injured Lindsey Drew and helped the Wolf Pack reach the Sweet 16. In the 10 games he started at point guard to end the season he averaged 15.8 points, 6.7 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.6 blocks, and shot 51.2 percent from the field in 36.9 minutes per game. On the season he was third on the team averaging 14 points but ranked first in assists (4.7 apg), steals (1.7 apg), blocks (1.5 bpg), field goal percentage (51.6 %) and minutes per game (35.6 mpg.
