The Reno-Sparks NAACP is looking for anyone with a pink Cadillac who is willing to have their car on display at Saturday's banquet. The idea is to honor and pay respect to the late Aretha Franklin.

The Reno-Sparks NAACP's 73rd Annual Freedom Fund Awards Banquet will honor legends present and past at the Grand Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30. Reservations are required and may be obtained online via RenoSparksNAACP.org or by calling event chair Andrew Barbano at (775) 786-1455.

The organization needs a pink Cadillac of any vintage to pay proper respect to the memory of Aretha Franklin. If one can be located, it will be displayed at the entry to the event.

Hot August Nights progenitor Jim Webster has agreed to assist in the car search. Margret's Funk Band will perform a spirited tribute to the Queen of Soul who died on August 16th.
