Reno Police say they have arrested two men in connection with a series of burglaries at area bars.

Police say the crimes have taken place since May of this year. They say the crimes took place in the early morning hours when the businesses were closed.

Authorities say the thieves, 37-year-olds Michael Robinson and Matthew Wiley targeted slot machines inside the businesses.

Detectives from the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department and Washoe County Sheriff's office all began investigating these cases, as each agency had similar crimes in their jurisdiction. Within the past few weeks, detectives identified potential suspects. Regional units from all three agencies began conducting surveillance on the suspects.

Police say in the past few days the suspects committed three burglaries. They were arrested early Monday morning, after they left a business they burglarized in Sparks.

The investigation is ongoing but detectives believe these individuals are responsible for at least 14 burglaries. The total loss is believed to be between $25,000 and $30,000.
