Reno native Brandon 'Ale' Kaho is headed to Alabama.

247Sports and cbsports.com say the former five-star linebacker was released from his national letter with Washington on Monday. He signed with Washington last year, but never enrolled.

Huskies head coach Chris Petersen cited "personal reasons" for the release.

The former Reno High player previously committed to BYU.

Kaho was a U.S. Army All-American and Polynesian Bowl participant. He was the nation's No. 133 overall prospect in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports Composite.
