Andrew Putnam's strategy to stay aggressive and make as many points as possible led to +17 points Saturday at the Barracuda Championship, enough to place him in the lead going into the final day of the tournament. Putnam's six birdies and one eagle were enough to get him to +38, ahead of Sam Saunders, who sits at +35 and Chad Campbell at +32. This is Putnam's second 54-hole lead/co-lead of the season.

Saunders gained 12 points in his last six holes to move into second place while Campbell tied the tournament record for most points (22) in a single round. Kyle Reifers set the record on the fourth-round in 2015.

Defending champion Chris Stroud entered the final round 13 points behind last season. He currently trails by 12.
