Two people were stranded on a rock and yelling for help, about 100 yards off the shore in the lake.
Truckee Police rescued two swimmers Saturday afternoon at Donner Lake.
They say two people were stranded on a rock and yelling for help, about 100 yards off the shore in the lake.
Truckee Police, with assistance from Truckee Fire, located the two men on a rock off of Donner Memorial State Park.
They say the men had swam to the rock in windy conditions, and one suffered a minor leg injury, which prevented him from swimming back to shore.
The waves were reported to be 1 to 3 feet high.
The two men, ages 26 and 35, both from San Jose, were transported back to shore. The injured man declined medical attention by Truckee Fire Paramedics.
Truckee Police would like to remind the public that the current windy conditions present dangerous conditions on the water and the public should exercise caution.
