The Washoe County School District is seeking applicants for the SHARE (Sexuality, Health and Responsibility Education) Advisory Committee that serves the District’s 64,000 students and their families.

SHARE is one of numerous committees that meets throughout the year to help set policies and guide the District forward, and is mandated by the state. The District encourages applicants who represent the diverse nature of our community.

“We encourage members of the community to work with us as we serve our 64,000 students,” said Board President Katy Simon Holland. “We value their support, and we welcome applications from people who are interested in donating their time and talent to this effort.”

The Sexuality, Health and Responsibility Education Advisory Committee is recruiting a new member in the category of parent/guardian of a District student.  For information on any of the District’s committees, to include how to apply, visit: 

The SHARE Advisory Committee:

• Evaluates and makes recommendations to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees related to the District’s S.H.A.R.E. curriculum. 

• The District is seeking a member in the Parent/Guardian Representative category for a term ending June 30, 2019.
