UPDATE: The South Lake Tahoe Police Department released more details on a stabbing that happened in front of the CVS Pharmacy on Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

Calls of a stabbing came in around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. when police arrive, they found 51-year-old Scott Nevin of San Jose bleeding from a stab wound. Witnesses on scene pointed out 71-year-old Paul Ivanovsky of Sparks as the person who stabbed Nevin.

Both subjects were transported to Barton Hospital for injuries. SLTPD detectives took over the investigation and found that a road rage incident over a parking spot was what lead to the stabbing.

Nevin had his 13-year-old son with him while he confronted Ivanovsky. Ivanovsky then used pepper spray against Nevin and then Nevin took the pepper spray from Ivanovsky and sprayed him back. A physical dispute began, when Ivanovsky pulled out a knife and stabbed Nevin once, then withdrew to his vehicle and waited for police to arrive.

Both parties are cooperating with the investigation and neither were arrested.
