Sparks Police say they are holding dozens of firearms for safe keeping after a welfare check led officers to a house in Del Rosa Way Thursday morning. 

The Associated Press reports that a team officers took inventory of at least three dozen weapons stacked in a driveway outside the home across the street from Diedrichsen Elementary School. 

The cache of guns includes black assault-style weapons, rifles, shotguns and handguns.

Sparks Police told The AP no arrests have been made. They say they can't comment any further at this time because an active investigation is continuing. 

The school is on summer break.
