Wolf Pack baseball player and reigning Mountain West Freshman of the Year, Joshua Zamora, was named to D1Baseball’s Freshman All-American second team. Zamora was also named to Collegiate Baseball’s Freshman All-American team with teammate Jake Jackson.

Zamora boasted the second-best batting average among all of the Freshmen All-Americans and his .355 average was tops among everyone on the second team.

Zamora won the MW batting title in his first collegiate season, hitting .427 in conference play. In his first season, he played a pivotal role in the Pack clinching its second ever MW regular season championship. 

The Foothill Ranch, Calif. native led the team in home runs with nine and was second on the team with a .563 slugging percentage. His season-highs included four hits against New Mexico, five RBI at Fresno State and four hits at the Lobos.
