The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a Gardnerville woman was arrested after her two-year-old son consumed some methamphetamine in May.

Deputies say 23-year-old Emily Rogers was arrested last week.

The child’s grandparents originally took the boy to the emergency room thinking the boy had an allergic reaction.

Tests later confirmed the boy had meth in his system.

Authorities say the two-year-old was transported to Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

Rogers is being held on $10,000 bail at the Douglas County Jail.
