The Aces were led offensively by 2018 Pacific Coast League All-Star Socrates Brito who hit a home run and had two RBI. Starting pitcher Austin Mason went 2.0 innings allowing no runs on two hits in his Triple-A debut. Austin Mason and Neftali Feliz kept the Salt Lake bats at bay until the top of the fifth when Matt Thaiss tied the ball game 1-1 with a home run. The Aces would take the lead right back in the bottom of the inning when Tomas hit an RBI double to the left-field corner scoring Cesar Puello. Ildemaro Vargas would tack on one more run with an RBI single extending the Reno lead to 3-1. The Aces bullpen of Feliz, Jake Barrett, and Silvino Bracho pitched seven solid innings, striking out eight and only allowing one run. A five-run eighth inning led by Tomas's three-run RBI double allowed the Aces to cruise to an 8-1 victory.
