The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) reports that there will be emergency paving repairs on Highway 89 and Highway 49 this week.

Drivers traveling Highway 89 in between Sierraville and Sattley, and Highway 49 in Loyalton can expect lane closures and one-way traffic controls:

One way traffic controls will be in effect through a four-mile work zone between Sattley and west of Sierraville on Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

One way traffic controls will be in effect through Lombardi Point near Genasci Road on Tuesday, May 29, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

One way traffic will again be in effect on Friday, June 1, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Highway 49 through the town of Loyalton.

Drivers should expect minor delays but weather could prolong the roadwork, so Caltrans is encouraging drivers to plan accordingly.
