Lyon County officials are working to keep impacts for Wednesday's storms to a minimum.

Officials say the Lyon County 9-1-1 dispatch has lost communication with the site on Raw Peak however the Department of Information Technology is responding at this time. They believe it was hit by a lightning strike.

Crews are also monitoring and working to keep drainage canals free of debris to keep water flowing to where it needs to go. They are also experiencing a lot of lightning and power outages in the area. Right now there are no injuries reported and all roads are open.

County manager Jeff Page says the response is typical, but after the significant winter in 2017, the county is making everyone aware of the efforts. Channel 2 News has a crew in the area and will have live updates throughout the evening.
