The Washoe County Registrar of Voters is reminding the community that deadlines to register to vote in the Primary Election are approaching fast.

The deadline for registration by mail is postmarked no later than May 15.

The last day to register in person is May 22.

The location for in-person registration is:

1001 East Ninth Street, Building A, 1st floor 

Reno, NV 89512  

Their office hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed holidays.

The online deadline to register is May 24 at www.registertovotenv.gov.

Military and overseas citizens need to register by June 5.

“It’s important to remember that you must be registered to participate in the upcoming Primary Election,” said Washoe County Registrar, Deanna Spikula. “Our office also recommends voters ensure they are registered at their current address, as it affects who you’ll vote for and where you’ll be voting.”

The Registrar's Office says official sample ballots will start arriving at homes next week. 

The Primary Election will be taking place on June 12th.
