Off-Duty Deputy Stops Violent Road Rage Incident

Sparks police say a road rage incident turned violent Wednesday night.

At approximately 2:43 p.m. Sparks police responded to reports of road rage incident on the 1600 block of Greg Street. Police say an off-duty deputy witnessed the altercation and was "forced to intervene" after a knife and pipe were produced. The off-duty deputy identified himself and held those involved at gunpoint.  

Investigators determined 29-year old Robert Mosher forced the physical confrontation. Officers say he left the scene and was arrested a couple of hours later for assault with a deadly weapon, simple battery, obstructing with a deadly weapon.

Investigators determined the second person involved was the victim, and a third person was not involved in the physical altercation and will not be charged.

    The Regional Gang Unit of the Reno Police Department has arrested a suspect for 165 separate counts of graffiti within the last year. Trevor Gibson, 27, had a warrant issued for his arrest in January.
