Two Reno Police officers were honored at Wednesday’s Reno City Council meeting for helping to save a woman's life.

Last October, Officers William Weston and Russel Harrington gave chest compressions to a woman who had suffered cardiac arrest ultimately keeping her alive until medical personnel could get there.

"They certainly really care about this community, and it showed in their efforts in saving an individual’s life. I'm very proud of them," says Chief Jason Soto.

Officer Harrington accepted the award as Officer Weston was out of town.
