Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of the woman killed in Tuesday's crash on US 95 near Fallon in Churchill County.

The deadly crash happened just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at mile marker 55 and involved a Chrysler PT Cruiser and a Chevrolet Malibu.

NHP says a preliminary investigation shows that a gray 2017 Chevy Malibu was heading north on US95 while a 2001 red Chrysler PT Cruiser was traveling south on US95.

The driver of the Chevy tried to pass a semi-truck and went into a southbound lane in a marked passing zone. The left front of the gray Malibu struck the left front of the red PT Cruiser in the southbound travel lane.

Unfortunately, the driver of the PT Cruiser, 62-year-old Annetta Faye Egbert of Lovelock died on scene.

The driver of the Chevy Malibu was transported via Care Flight to Renown in Reno with serious injuries. The remaining six occupants of the Malibu were transported via ambulance to Renown in Reno with serious injuries.
