NHP: Reno Woman Dead After Being Ejected in Vehicle Crash near Winnemucca

Posted: Updated:

Nevada Highway Patrol says a 53-year-old Reno woman is dead after being ejected from her car Monday morning.

They have identified the driver as Ms. Roberta Lynn Campbell-Underhill. She was driving a gray Toyota 4 Runner eastbound on I-80. Her vehicle began to drift into the center median. She then over-corrected the vehicle back onto the highway which caused the car to rotate in a clockwise direction. The car crossed both travel lanes and entered the right, southbound lane dirt shoulder, overturning.

During the roll over, Ms. Campbell-Underhill was ejected and sustained fatal injuries at the scene.

NHP says no one else was in the car.
