Reno Woman Stuck in Houston

Posted: Updated:

Alexandria Pauletto and her boyfriend traveled to Houston from Reno just a few days before Hurricane Harvey started for a cruise. When the couple first landed it was just a bit cloudy, "We even joked 'look around, do you really believe a giant hurricane is coming?' it was just a little cloudy here and there," but it quickly took a turn for the worst, "I'm in the middle of a stage four hurricane and hiding in the closet from a tornado, we are all taking turns having panic attacks."

Pauletto is staying at her boyfriends parents house in Houston but luckily the water has not reached the house and they still have power and they still have not had to evacuate, "Last night when the rain stopped we all came out and yelled out across the neighborhood to find out if everyone was okay," explains Pauletto. The couple was going to come back to Reno September 5th but due to the weather they may have to wait until the roads clear back up and drive to an airport that is open, "Its been scary, today was just watching the levels and all we can do is wait. But compared to Reno I'm going to kiss the ground when we get back," jokes Pauletto.
