Saint Mary's announced Friday that it will close its outpatient Women's Health Center, but says it has options for patients moving forward.

According to a company spokesperson, Saint Mary's is working with community providers who offer similar services and "trust these relationships and their ongoing commitment to women's health care in our region."

Saint Mary's Women's Health Center will close October 13th of this year. The company says it is contacting patients to transition them to a new provider of the patient's choice. All patients will be provided assistance for reassignment and the company will issue refunds to those patients that have pre-paid or partially paid for services not yet rendered.

Saint Mary's adds that the change will not impact the hospital's Family Birthing Center or the services offered within the center such as lactation support and childbirth education. The hospital's NICU and Pediatrics departments will also stay open.
