Wildland Fire Knocked Down in Hungry Valley

Crews are mopping up after wildland fire in the area of Chickadee and Hungry Valley in Reno. 

It started around 5:30 p.m. and was knocked down in in about an hour's time or less. 

Sierra Front reports that air and ground resources responded with the assistance of the Truckee Meadows Fire Department and the Bureau of Land Management. 

The fire was reported initially at about 10-15 acres but has been downgraded to 5 acres in size burning grass. It was burning at a low rate of spread.
