After a three year break, the Nevada Humane Society held its 'Walk for Animals' fundraiser at the Sparks Marina on Saturday.

Participants were encouraged to bring along their furry friends for a day of fun in the sun, with live entertainment, food trucks, and a car raffle.

The event included educational booths - to teach the public about homeless animals - including some of the humane society's dogs that are up for adoption.

"It’s just a good overall day to show that so many people in the community are here to for the people and pets making a difference for all the animals that need our help,” says Kimberly Wade, communications director.

All of the proceeds from Saturday’s Walk for Animals goes directly back to benefit homeless pets at the humane society.
