The Nevada State Treasurer’s Office is warning you about a scam involving unclaimed property.

The website www.neverclaimed.com wants Nevadans to believe you must pay a fee to retrieve your unclaimed property. This claim is false. The State Treasurer’s Office works with everyone to return unclaimed property for FREE.

Victims may have found the website through online search engines or in some cases through proactive phone calls coming from 866-955-1623.  We remind Nevadans that it costs nothing to claim your property.  Reclaiming what belongs to you can be done without the help of lawyers, private investigators or private websites.

“Our office is committed to returning unclaimed property to Nevadans at no cost to the rightful owners,” said Treasurer Schwartz “Unfortunately, this world is full of bad actors who are more interested in lining their pockets than in helping you,” Schwartz added.

Nevadans can search for their unclaimed property by visiting NevadaTreasurer.gov or calling (702) 486-4140.
