Crews Respond to Barricaded Subject in Damonte Ranch

Posted: Updated:

Washoe County Sheriff’s detectives have resolved reports of a barricaded subject in the Damonte Ranch area.

Reno Police, Washoe County Detectives, and Washoe County’s SWAT team all responded to the scene.

Bob Harmon with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office tells us detectives believe there is a wanted subject inside a home in the area of Bulluno and Cervino.

Harmon says that given the subject’s history, crews decided to approach the situation with multiple crews.

Reno Police say they received several reports of gun shots in the area but they want the  public to know the noises were gas bombs going off, not gun shots.
