Governor Sandoval was appointed the new chair of the National Governor's Association Saturday at their convention in Rhode Island.

Accepting the title, Governor Sandoval debuted his initiative: Ahead of the Curve: Innovation Governors.

"This initiative will highlight technology and how governors and those we govern can stay one step ahead in our rapidly changing world." Sandoval said at the conference. He continued to say the initiative would focus on energy and transportation.

A few minutes later Governor Sandoval introduced Elon Musk, the Co-Founder and CEO of Tesla and Space X. The two spoke on stage about energy, innovation, rooftop solar and much more.
