The Regional Transportation Commission says Pembroke Drive will close starting June 12 for about two months to reconstruct the intersection.

RTC says Pembroke Drive will be closed to all traffic between the Rosewood Lakes Golf Course club house and the Steamboat Creek.

The road will be closed for about two months and was planned to happen when nearby schools are not in session. They say Mira Loma Drive is available as an alternate route.

RTC says that when this project is completed, this intersection will be about seven feet higher, so that the SouthEast Connector will be passable during a major flood event such as the one in 1997. Ultimately, RTC says there will also be a traffic signal at this location.
