The Reno Fire Department and the City of Reno's Public Works Team are installing new warning signs along the Truckee River in anticipation of more snowmelt runoff. .

Signs will have the word “danger” along the top, as well as river hazards that could result in injury or death. Those who do not have a personal flotation device, helmet, full wetsuit or drysuit, strong swimming skills, self-rescue skills and previous river experience will also be advised not to enter the water.

The signs will be installed at Idlewild Park, Wingfield Park and Crissie Caughlin Park.
