The Placer County Sheriff's Office says Lincoln Police have identified a woman found dead on Wednesday. The suspect in the case was later found dead after a chase on I-80 east of Truckee.

Police say 35-year-old Renee Sue O’Neal was found dead inside a garage.

The unidentified suspect eventually shot himself west of Hirschdale Road.

In an effort to safely stop the car, which was possibly being driven by an armed, dangerous person, spike strips were deployed. Some of the car’s tires were disabled, bringing the car to a stop on I-80, west of Hirschdale Road.

When officers approached the car, they found the man dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
