Nowaczewski Picks Up Another MW Pitcher of the Week Award

Nevada junior Mark Nowaczewski was named MW Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 23, 2017. It is the second MW weekly accolade of the season for Nowaczewski and the third of his career.

• Earned a 7-3 victory over Fresno State on Saturday night to win the weekend series for the Wolf Pack.
• In eight innings of work, gave up six hits and two runs with one unearned.
• Tied a career-high with six strikeouts and walked three batters.
• Three innings ended with a strikeout.

    The Reno Aces (4-13) welcomed the Fresno Grizzlies (13-4) to town Saturday afternoon in front of a crowd of 6,038. Taylor Clarke got the start for Reno, tossing five innings and allowing three runs. Unfortunately for Clarke and the Aces, Fresno finished with seven runs on eleven hits and gave Reno their 13th loss of the season 7-2.
