Nevada's Marcus Marshall Named MW Player of the Week
From the University of Nevada, Reno:
Senior Marcus Marshall has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week after a stellar performance in Nevada’s 87-85 victory over Washington.
The Wolf Pack had just one game in the week, and Marshall took full advantage. His season-high 32 points were capped off with a game-winning shot that fell in the basket with just 0.2 seconds on the clock. His shot secured the second victory over a Power 5 school for the Wolf Pack this season, a feat that has not been accomplished since the 2011-12 season.
Marshall’s 32 points are the most scored by any Mountain West player this season and recorded his sixth game of the year with more than 20 points. He also logged four assists and three rebounds in his 37 minutes on the court. Marshall led both teams in scoring for the fifth time this year. With his 10th point, Marshall kept his season-long streak alive of scoring in double figures.
