UPDATE: 9:00 PM

UPDATE: 8:00 PM

Several fire agencies from Northern Nevada are working to contain a wind-driven brush fire burning in Carson City.

Nick Morano, the Carson City Manager, tells our crew that there have been no injuries reported or reported damage at the time of this writing.

Mandatory evacuations are still in effect for Stewart Indian Colony, and have been extended to the Clear Creek Trailer Park on Clear Creek Avenue, and Frontage Road.

People who have been evacuated can go to an evacuation center at Fuji Park. Structure protection is in place for 'every' home in the area, Morano said. Morano is worried about strong winds in the area, and the possibility of pushing flames into nearby homes.

"You can't replace people," said Morano. "It is best to heed the advice to evacuate."

There is no estimate of size. The cause is still unknown.

UPDATE 7:10 p.m:

Fire officials tell our crew on scene that mandatory evacuations are now in effect for the Stewart Indian Colony. All evacuees can go to either the Carson Colony or Fuji Park.

There is no estimate of how large the fire is, but officials say the fire is burning quickly and is threatening structures. The cause is not known at this time.
